A serious shoulder injury has forced Alex O'Loughlin to take a long break from his hit TV series, Hawaii Five-O.
A spokesperson for the 35-year-old actor told E! that he will be receiving "supervised treatment for prescription pain medication".
Alex plays Lieutenant Commander Steve McGarrett on the classic '80s reboot, opposite Scott Caan, Daniel Dae Kim, and Grace Park.
According to CBS, his absence will not affect filming, as production on the second season of the show is ahead of schedule.
