TROUBLED pop star Amy Winehouse has been found dead at her home in Camden, north London.

The Rehab singer, 27, was discovered at the property in north London by emergency services at around 3.54pm this afternoon, according to sources.

A police statement said: "Police were called by London Ambulance Service to an address in Camden Square NW1 shortly before 16.05hrs today, Saturday 23 July, following reports of a woman found deceased.

"On arrival officers found the body of a 27-year-old female who was pronounced dead at the scene.

"Enquiries continue into the circumstances of the death. At this early stage it is being treated as unexplained."

Amy had recently cancelled all tour dates and engagements after a series of erratic public appearances.

But she appeared with her goddaughter Dionne Bromfield earlier this week at the iTunes festival where she urged the crowd to buy the young singer's album.

Amy had battled drink and drugs problems throughout her career.

She also had troubled relationships with Pete Doherty and Blake Fielder-Civil.

"She is rattling about at home in North London drinking herself into oblivion. Three times this week she has been so drunk she passed out."

The Rehab hitmaker has allegedly been told by doctors that she will die if she fails to stop drinking.

After missing her cue a couple of times, she went on to mumble through the number, slurring the lyrics as she went. The performer, who once had the most promising singing career, was reduced to a drunken mess who looked confused most of the time, hugging herself and smiling at the audiences who was obviously stunned.
Many of them booed while some clapped half-heartedly at the end of the performance that saw Winehouse missing from the stage several times, leaving her band to entertain the audiences.
Judging by her performance, she certainly didn’t look like someone who just checked out of rehab earlier this month. What’s more, it was said that she was given the green light to embark on her European tour.
Belgrade was the first leg of her 12-destination tour. Naturally after her disastrous performance, she’s not sober enough to continue touring. A representative for the singer announced later that the following festival dates in Istanbul on Monday and in Athens on Wednesday will be cancelled, which makes her next show fall on July 8 in Spain.
Her management issued a statement that reads: “Despite feeling sure that she wanted to fulfill these commitments, she has agreed with management that she cannot perform to the best of her ability and will return home.
“She would like to apologize to fans expecting to see her at the shows but feels that this is the right thing to do.”
Angry fans later took to YouTube to voice their displeasure, with many describing the show as a “scandal” and a “disaster” to the press.
