Ashton Kutcher hasn't spoken publicly about estranged wife Demi Moore since her health crisis began in January – but he has seen her, a source tells PEOPLE.
The Two and a Half Men star has visited since her hospital stay, but "they are not getting back together," according to the source.
He went because "he knew it was important to her daughters," says the source. Moore has three girls with ex-husband Bruce Willis. Daughter Rumer, 23, remains especially close with Kutcher despite his split from Moore.
Still, Kutcher has continued to move forward with his life. On Thursday night, he stepped out to help fete Two and a Half Men creator Chuck Lorre – just as multiple sources confirmed to PEOPLE that Moore has left treatment.
A clean-shaven Kutcher, 34, kept a low profile by skipping the press area and heading straight for his front-row table inside the Beverly Hills Hotel ballroom for the Television Academy's 21st Annual Hall of Fame Ceremony, sponsored by Grey Goose.

Jennifer Aniston has reportedly been overheard telling friends that she would marry Justin Theroux by the end of the year.
The Wanderlust actress apparently joked at a pre-Oscars party on Feb 24, that she and Theroux would split without an imminent proposal, adding that they had brought a dog into their home as "a test run for kids".
"We're constantly laughing," The Mirror quotes her as saying, "Now we've got our new baby things are getting serious."
"We have new responsibilities. (The dog is) like a test run for kids, I guess, although hopefully kids are easier to house-train.
"Things are fabulous, I'm happy. If he's not got down on one knee or we're not married, by the end of the year, it's over."
A friend of Aniston said: "Jennifer has never been so happy romantically. She and Justin have discussed their long-term future and both agreed that they love the idea of settling down. "The onus now is on Justin to pop the question."
Aniston and Theroux were first romantically linked in May 2011.

Actress Lucy Lawless will spend Friday night chained to a New Zealand drilling ship with a group of Greenpeace activists after police decided against removing the protesters.
The former Xena: Warrior Princess star was among a group of seven campaigners who climbed aboard the vessel, which is docked in Taranaki, New Zealand, on Friday to protest against oil drilling in the Arctic.
They have vowed not to leave until the Noble Discoverer's mission is called off.
Police were called to the scene and five officers boarded the boat, but they decided against removing the protesters amid safety fears, according to Stuff.co.nz.
One man, who was not on the ship, was arrested at the entrance to the port, while Lawless and the other campaigners are also facing detention, but Inspector Blair Telford has confirmed cops currently have no plans to remove them from the vessel.
He says, "Although the protesters are breaking the law by being aboard the ship, they are in an isolated location on the ship which allows both the port and the ship to operate their normal business.
"We have considered various options and we have the skills, capabilities and equipment to deal with all options. However safety remains paramount and we won't needlessly jeopardise the safety of our staff, the crew of the ship or the protesters."
A member of the group tells the website, "The guys are well equipped and have enough food to last a couple of days and gear to protect them from the weather. We don't plan to leave until Shell agrees to stay out of the Arctic."

Scottish actor Gerard Butler has spent the last three weeks in rehab to address substance abuse issues, according to a U.S. report.
The star allegedly started struggling with pain medication as he battled to recover from injuries he suffered on the set of 2006 movie 300 and his problems were exacerbated after he was hurt in a surfing accident during filming of his latest project, Of Men and Mavericks.
He checked himself into the Betty Ford clinic in California three weeks ago to address his addiction issues, according to TMZ.com, and is now due to be released.
Butler, 42, has been open about his previous issues with alcohol as he gave up boozing at the age of 27 after realising his habit had spiralled out of control.
He previously said, "It's been years now and it's like it never happened. I can't remember drinking. When I stopped I would look at a beer and think how great it would be. I'd get this pang in my stomach to go back out and have fun, but then I'd remember that I used up that right - that I did a full life worth of drinking between 14 and 27. That I'd done enough drinking for half a dozen people. Now I have no connection with it."

Someone that’s definitely chill, low key, low maintenance."

British pop star Adele has vowed to spit at her estranged dad, Mark Evans if she ever sees him again.
"I was actually ready to start trying to have a relationship with him. He's f**king blown it. He will never hear from me again," the Grammy winner told Vogue US.
Evans spoke to a tabloid last year, suggesting that his famous daughter has issues with men because of him.
"It makes me angry! To come back after 10 years and be like, 'Maybe her problem with men comes down to me'. It's like, 'F**k off! How dare you comment on my life?' It makes my blood boil," Adele said.
The Rolling In The Deep hitmaker strongly believed that her dad was paid to do the interview.
"There's consequences other than just getting a bit of f**king money that lasts you half a year. It blows my mind. 'I love her so much.' Really? Why are you telling me that through a newspaper? If I ever see him I will spit in his face."
Adele's dad left her when she was three years old due to alcoholism.

On Sunday, Adele collected the largest haul of Grammys ever won in a single night by a British female singer. But aside from the awards she received from the National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences of the United States, the 23-year-old pop-soul diva has racked up yet another coveted honor – the cover of Vogue.
Adele looks gorgeous on the March 2012 issue of the magazine in an image, shot by Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott, meant to be sexy in a glamorous way. Apart from the cover featuring the Rolling in the Deep singer with windswept hair and in a low-cut black lace top, there’s a wide variety of other photos inside. The article, written by Jonathan Van Meter, is also impressive. It explains why Adele is loved and admired by millions of people: she’s just so down-to-earth and real.
In the interview, the British songstress reveals that her ex-boyfriend changed her life in ways she never imagined, and she’s never writing a breakup record again. Here are some excerpts taken from the fashion bible.
On her ex: “You know, he was amazing. He was great. But it was never going to work. And for ages I was like, ‘As if he deserves any f***ing kudos for inspiring my record.’”
On her current boyfriend, Simon Konecki: “He’s wonderful. He’s proud of me, but he don’t care about what I do or what other people think. He looks after me. I don’t think I would have gotten through the recovery for my surgery if it hadn’t been for him.”
On awards shows: “I hate the red carpet. I don’t feel insecure, I just feel like, Oh, I don’t want to do this. I literally get a stomach cramp. At the VMA’s last year I felt really out of my comfort zone because there were so many superstars there. But that’s been the case from day one. I never feel like, Oh, yeah, I should be here. And I was missing my best friend’s hen night. So I was a bit bitter that I wasn’t there, to be perfectly honest.”
On her favorite artist, Beyoncé: “She’s been a huge and constant part of my life as an artist since I was about ten or eleven. I love how all of her songs are about empowerment. Even when she’s married and Jay-Z put a ring on it, she releases ‘Single Ladies.’ Go get yours. Go get what you deserve. I think she’s really inspiring. She’s beautiful. She’s ridiculously talented, and she is one of the kindest people I’ve ever met.”

Grammy-winning singer and actress Whitney Houston, one of the most talented performers of her generation who lived a turbulent personal life and admitted drug use, died on Saturday in a Beverly Hills hotel room. She was 48.
A Beverly Hills police officer told reporters they were called to the Beverly Hilton, in Los Angeles, at around 3:20 p.m. PST and that emergency personnel found Houston's body in a fourth-floor room, and she was pronounced dead at 3:55 p.m.
"She has been positively identified by friends and family (who) were with her at the hotel, and next of kin have already been notified," Lieutenant Mark Rosen told reporters.
Police said there were no obvious signs of criminal intent at the scene and her death is under investigation.
Houston was in Los Angeles for the Grammy Awards, the music industry's biggest honors program that will take place on Sunday night. She died hours before she was expected to perform at record producer Clive Davis's annual pre-Grammy party on Saturday, which is held at the Beverly Hilton. Houston, inspired by soul singers in her New Jersey family, including mother Cissy Houston and cousins Dionne Warwick and the late Dee Dee Warwick, as well as her godmother Aretha Franklin, became one of the most celebrated female singers of all time, taking multiple Emmy, Grammy and Billboard Music awards. STELLAR CAREER, PERSONAL TROUBLES
Her popularity soared in the 1980s and 1990s with consecutive No. 1 hits including the smash single "I Will Always Love You," from the soundtrack of the feature film "The Bodyguard," in which she starred.
She also appeared in "Waiting to Exhale (1995) and The Preacher's Wife (1996)."
By the early 1990s, Houston had become the queen of pop music, achieving great critical and commercial acclaim, but her personal life was becoming troubled. In 1992 she married singer Bobby Brown, who had a bad-boy reputation, and during their 14 years together had a tumultuous relationship fueled by drugs.
In 2000, she and Brown were stopped at an airport in Hawaii and security guards discovered marijuana in their luggage. The pair also starred in reality TV series, "Being Bobby Brown," which painted an often unflattering portrait of the pair.
The last 10 years of Houston's life were dominated by drug use, rumors of relapses and trips to rehab. In a 2002 TV interview, she admitted using marijuana, cocaine, alcohol and prescription drugs.
She launched a comeback tour in 2009 and in April 2010 she called media reports she was using drugs again "ridiculous." In May 2011, Houston enrolled in a drug and alcohol rehab program.
Reactions came pouring in from fans and friends in the music industry.
"I am absolutely heartbroken at the news of Whitney's passing," legendary music producer Quincy Jones said in a statement. "... I always regretted not having had the opportunity to work with her. She was a true original and a talent beyond compare. I will miss her terribly."
Neil Portnow, chief executive of the Recording Academy that gives out the Grammys, called her "one of the world's greatest pop singers of all time who leaves behind a robust musical soundtrack spanning the past three decades."
Pop star Rihanna posted on Twitter "No words, just tears," and rapper Nicki Minaj tweeted "Jesus Christ, not Whitney Houston. Greatest of all time."

German fashion designer—and more notably, the head designer and creative director for Chanel—Karl Lagerfeld was a guest editor for Metro Paris today, and took it upon himself to give his (very frank) two cents on different topics...like Adele and her figure.
Oh, but she wasn't his only target.
The 78-year-old's opinion on Adele was brought up when asked about his thoughts on new American singer and songwriter Elizabeth Grant, or better known by her stage name—Lana del Rey.
"I prefer Adele and Florence Welch," he said. "But as a modern singer she is not bad. The thing at the moment is Adele. She is a little too fat, but she has a beautiful face and a divine voice. Lana del Rey is not bad at all. She looks very much like a modern-time singer. In her photos she is beautiful. Is she a construct with all her implants? She's not alone with implants."

Shortly before Demi Moore split with Ashton Kutcher, her previous husband Bruce Willis went to her house to ask her to get help for her worsening health, a source tells PEOPLE in this week's cover story.
"He was worried about her and wanted her to get better," says the source. "Many of her friends did the same thing, but she just wouldn't listen."
Willis, 56, is the father of their three daughters, two of whom – Rumer, 23, and Tallulah, 18 – are now staying with him while Moore, 49, seeks treatment. (Scout, 20, is away at college). Moore had been especially close to Rumer since the marriage collapse.
"It's hard for Ru right now to see her mom in this situation," another source says.
Kutcher, meanwhile, stopped by Moore's Los Angeles house Wednesday, according to X17 Online. After a trip to Brazil, he is back in L.A. working on Two and a Half Men.

The stars are aligning to pay tribute to the late Leslie Carter.
Though she may not have been the biggest star of the Carter family, she nevertheless is getting touchingly remembered by those close not only to her, but to her brothers, Nick Carter and Aaron Carter.
Leading off the tributes is none other than the family of Lindsay Lohan—LiLo, lest we forget, infamously dated Aaron in her early Hollywood days.

"Leslie was an outgoing and very outspoken girl," Kenneth Crear told E! News exclusively. "When I worked with her while filming The House of Carters, I got to see a side of her I didn't know. She was all about family and she loved her brothers and sisters.
"People also don't know she was a talented singer and had a very amazing voice. I just wish more people had a chance to hear."
