CBS’ The Big Bang Theory is at long last beaming up Leonard Nimoy.
Sources confirm to TVLine exclusively that the Star Trek icon will fulfill Sheldon’s (Jim Parsons) lifelong dream when he makes a cameo in the show’s March 29 episode. But there’s a catch: Nimoy will be heard, not seen.
According to an insider, Nimoy will speak to Sheldon, as Spock, in a dream sequence.
Sheldon’s obsession with Nimoy has been a recurring theme on the show. In a classic Season 2 episode, Penny gave him a napkin autographed by the sci-fi legend for Christmas. And in the show’s 100th episode last month, Sheldon received in the mail a life-size cardboard cut-out of Mr. Spock, but was horrified to discover it wasn’t the Nimoy version he ordered but the Zachary Quinto incarnation.

Paramount has confirmed that there will be a follow up to the last Transformers, and another sequel after that.
So Transformers 4 is officially on and will once again be directed by Michael Bay, who helmed the previous three movies.
"Directed by Bay, the movie will reunite the filmmaking team from the hit franchise, including producers Lorenzo di Bonaventura, Don Murphy, Tom DeSanto and Ian Bryce; and executive producers Steven Spielberg, Bay, Brian Goldner and Mark Vahradian," the company announced.
Bay signed a two-picture deal with the studio including Pain and Gain starring Mark Wahlberg and Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson. The film, based on a true story, will follow "a group of bodybuilders who engaged in a campaign of kidnapping, extortion and murder in Florida."
The director will begin work on the fourth instalment as soon as he completes Pain and Gain.
Producer Lorenzo di Bonaventura confirmed that the next Transformers would be a reboot.
"(But) what that’s going to be, we don’t even know yet…. We’ve got to get a story first."
As for the cast, di Bonaventura indicated that none of the cast from the original three is signed for a sequel, but it’s likely that he and Bay would create at least a few new characters for the film.
"It’s a hybrid because there’s still continuity going on, and there will be a lot of new cast," he said.
"Whether there’s anybody from the first cast, we don’t even know yet. But it’s going to be a whole new story.
"But the characters that would certainly come along would be Optimus and Bumblebee, I’m sure."
Transformers 4 is slated for a June 29, 2014 release.

Paula Abdul tells it straight up: She’s exiting Fox’s X Factor. Here is her full statement: “Yes, it’s true; I won’t be returning to The X Factor next season. I’ve learned through my longevity in this industry that business decisions often times override personal considerations. Simon and I, along with Fox and Fremantle, have been communicating about this for a while now, and I have absolute understanding of the situation. Simon is, and will remain a dear friend of mine and I’ve treasured my experience working this past season with my extended family at Fox and Fremantle.

Dangerously weakened by humanity's lack of devotion, the gods are losing control of the imprisoned Titans and their ferocious leader, Kronos, father of the long-ruling brothers Zeus, Hades and Poseidon. Perseus cannot ignore his true calling when Hades, along with Zeus' godly son, Ares (Edgar Ramírez), switch loyalty and make a deal with Kronos to capture Zeus. The Titans' strength grows stronger as Zeus' remaining godly powers are siphoned.

Could Maverick fly again? If Tom Cruise gets his way, the cocky flyboy will soar once more.
Cruise has confirmed he's juiced up for a follow-up to his 1986 smash hit ''Top Gun.'' ''We're working on it,'' Cruise told MTV News.
''I hope we can figure this out to do it again,'' he added.
Cruise said that he has been talking to director Tony Scott about the project, and they're trying to hammer out a storyline.
The remarks came as Cruise was at the Dubai film festival premiere of ''Mission: Impossible - Ghost Protocol.''
In addition to raking in millions of dollars at the box office, the movie was nominated for four Oscars, winning Best Original Song for ''Take My Breath Away.''
A spokesperson for Paramount, which produced the first ''Top Gun,'' did not immediately respond to requests for comment.
Cruise said he'd be interested in reprising his most iconic role.
''If we can find a story that we all want to do, we all want to make a film that is in the same kind of tone as the other one and shoot it in the same way as we shot 'Top Gun.' ''
That would probably mean lots of gauzy camera work, a killer '80s soundtrack and a dollop of Reagan-era chutzpah.

Surrounding the release of Tranformers: Dark of the Moon was Michael Bay’s assurance that after helming all three flicks in the trilogy, he was done with the franchise. Cut to Dark of the Moon making a kajillion dollars for Paramount, and rumors began swirling that Bay might come back. The director denied any involvement and maintained that he was focused on making his “smaller” movie Pain and Gain. Just yesterday we reported that Bay is in talks with Dwayne Johnson to star in the $20 million dark comedy, and Bay seemed on track to move away from the robot series. Cut to today and now comes word that Bay will indeed be returning for the fourth Transformers film.

Marg Helgenberger may be leaving CSI in January but the veteran procedural found a pretty cool way to make up for the loss: The network announced today that Elisabeth Shue (Leaving Las Vegas) will join the show as a series regular.
She’ll play a CSI who just completed anger management training. Her character will be introduced in the episode airing Feb. 15.
“While it’s difficult to say goodbye to a beloved character like Catherine Willows, it’s exciting to start a journey with a new CSI, especially when that character is played by Elisabeth Shue,” said executive producer Carol Mendelsohn in a statement.
