Twilight fans can have their very own fairytale wedding experience next year when Carolina Herrera's CHNY boutiques begin selling gowns in the same design as worn by Bella Swan in Breaking Dawn - Part 1, the apparel maker's spokesman said.
The white sheath wedding dress with a lace-embellished back was custom-made for actress Kristen Stewart by New York fashion designer Herrera, who said she was was 'flattered' when asked to create the gown and felt the pressured to deliver something that would please Twilight fans.
"I wanted to create a magical moment that they had at the wedding," Herrera told Reuters at the movie's red carpet premiere.
"She's an innocent girl that is finding her first true love, so there is romance, there is magic, there is everything together," Herrera said.
Snow White & the Huntsman is an upcoming epic fantasy adventure film directed by Rupert Sanders and written by Evan Daugherty. The film is currently in production and is slated for release on June 1, 2012 in the United States. It is the first film in a planned trilogy. Film producers considered casting a less well-known actress for the role of Snow White, with mention of Riley Keough, Felicity Jones, Bella Heathcote and Alicia Vikander as possible picks. This idea became less likely as actresses Kristen Stewart and Dakota Fanning were later rumored to be shortlisted for the role. On March 4, 2011, the casting rumors were fueled even more by a series of tweets from co-producer Palak Patel that confirmed that Kristen Stewart was offered the role of Snow White. The tweets also stated that an official confirmation would be coming out later that week, but it would be several weeks before her casting was officially confirmed by the studio. At first, Winona Ryder was considered to play Ravenna, before the role went to Charlize Theron. Johnny Depp turned down the offer to play Eric, the huntsman. Viggo Mortensen was in negotiations with Universal for the part, but ultimately turned down the role as well. Hugh Jackman was briefly offered to play the role of the huntsman but also declined. In 2011, Thor star Chris Hemsworth was eventually cast in the role of the huntsman.
The actress who plays Bella Swann in the vampire film series - was looking forward to her alter-ego having a child with her on-screen blood-sucking lover Edward Cullen but admits the reality was somewhat different because they used an animatronic child, which was operated by a member of the crew.
Speaking of the moment Bella meets her half-vampire, half-human child, Kristen said: "In the book that was one of my favourite parts.
"But filming it, this guy's sweating under your eye line, they get the hand up to touch your face and then it sticks to your hair and pulls a little bit.
"You're like, 'Ugh! Get that thing off me. Get me a baby, this is ridiculous.' It had hair and it's a newborn baby."
Robert Pattinson – who plays the baby's vampire father Edward – was also repulsed by the artificial baby as it looked like something from a horror movie.
